"Holy Mountain" is what people call Graymoor. With an array of beautiful chapels and shrines, set on a mountain and in a valley, the name fits. It's a marvelous place to watch nature unfold throughout the year, whether it's green leaves turning into autumn colors or snow melting into water that gives life to the many trees and shrubs that are found here.

Graymoor is the home of the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement. Their founders, Father Paul Wattson and Mother Lurana White, made a covenant with God to start the Society of the Atonement in order to make humanity at one with itself and at one with God. For His part, God gave them Graymoor, the Mount of the Atonement, as a place to start their mission of reconciliation.

The Friars and Sisters welcome you and hope that your visit will be a spiritual and restful experience.
