The
largest building on the Sisters' grounds is 3-story St. Francis Convent
III. Built in two sections (1953,1958), it houses the professed Sisters
and includes a16-bed infirmary dedicated to St. Joseph. General Administration
offices are also located here, as well as the Sisters' archives, which contain
over one hundred years of diaries, records, photos, manuscripts, letters
and artifacts relative to the history of the Society of the Atonement. Spanning
one basement wall is the Wall of Wonder, composed of photos depicting Atonement
Sisters in their various ministries. The chapel here boasts a unique pewter
tabernacle, shaped like the burning bush Moses saw on Mount Horeb. |
