There
are over 200 Sisters and lay people buried in the two levels of St. Joseph's
Cemetery. Some of the lay people played important roles in the history of
the Sisters and Friars. Mother Lurana's tomb, inscribed with "Repairer
of the Breach" to indicate the role she played in Christian unity and
overseen by a towering white marble statue of St. Francis, dominates the
lower level. The Memorial Stone, dedicated in June 2000, bears the names
of Sisters buried away from Graymoor. |
